Pre departure tests

We had ours done 2 weeks ago, on a sunday at IMED Levante (Benidorm) booked online, in and out in 2 minutes and results within 30 mins - I can recommend 😁

Does 1 not contradict the other. No need for pre departure test from the 7th, but requires an antigen test from the 9th. Is the 9th a test on arrival? Do you have to pre book an antigen for your locator form as before.

No, If you are due to arrive back in Englandafter 4.00am on 7th Jan, the rules change. You don’t need to take a fit to fly pre departure test and the day 2 test which is on 9th Jan is changed to a lateral flow, which still needs to be pre booked for the booking reference number to go on the passenger locator form.

Best bit is the pre booked lateral flow tests are pretty much the same price as the pre booked 2 day PCR was. What's the point in changing? Just more profit for the testing stations.

Just seen. Not all sites are updated yet. Couple available for £17.50. Just watch out before booking. Most are still showing day 2 as PCR.

We got lateral flow day 2 tests last October for £12 - SimplytestMe. There are several suppliers on Jet2 website starting from £17 - all with good trustpilot ratings. That compares to 40 euro for a antigen test in IMED Torrevieja!

Why did you need a lateral flow day 2 test last October. Was it not a PCR then in the UK, or at one stage none? However, if you read my next post, immediately after, you will see that I have said they are available around £17.50.
