Good morning,

I have just read your helpful message. I wonder if you can advise me at all. I have completed the modelo 210 form but I don't have a Spanish bank account, just a GB Iban Revolut euro account which I use to pay my bills. The payment seems to only accept a ES Iban. Any ideas how I can finish this p...

...rocess?

Open an N26 account - I did last year purely for this purpose and yes it worked ok

Good evening Mr Marshall,

I wonder if you can help me. You put an explanation on the forum some time ago about how to fill in modelo 210 for non residents tax which included a link to the actual form itself - https://www1.agenciatributaria.gob.es/wlpl/OV17-M210/index.zul. I have found this very useful thank you because I had found it very difficult to navigate around the tax office website myself.

I very occasionally rent my property out for which I have to fill out a quarterly tax form. Even though I have only occasionally done this I find the accountant's fees I use as much as the actual tax itself! So I want to be able to do this myself but to do so I need to be able to access the form to fill in, in the future. This form is also a Modelo 210 entitled 'Impuesto sobre la Renta de no Residentes' - No residentes sin establecimiento permanente.

Can you help me to locate this form at all please?

Again many thanks for your help so far,

Peter Maycock

It is the same form - what differs is how it is completed IIRC:

Rather than selecting annual in the periodo you select the quarter of the year to which it relates.

Rather than selecting "02" in the tipo renta field you select "01"

This then changes what is open to you on the "determinaction" element of the form.

Rather than inputting the base imponible in 210I you are guided to input the rent received in 210R.

I have copies of old forms when I used to have to do this but don't think anything has changed in the ensuing years.

My experience is based on using a digital certificate to complete the Modelo 210 for property that isn't rented IE to pay the imputed tax so I wouldn't be confident in advising on tax on rented accommodation. Regards, Tony

Thank you George that is very helpful.

I don't suppose you would know if this is true but the Spanish accountant I used told me that since Brexit Brits can no longer put expenses against rental income such as electricity etc. Now it is just a case of gross rental income less 24% tax to be paid.
