Hi all

I came through Alicante from the UK this evening and just showed my digital covid passport . . no locator form required.

Hi Lynn,

Thanks for this - one less piece of paperwork for us to have to complete when returning to Spain!

With Easter travel plans in mind, I think it's worth drawing attention to the fact that this doesn't alter the mandatory requirement for Third Country (including UK) non-residents to have been vaccinated in order to enter Spain for tourism purposes.  It just means that a compatible Covid vaccination certificate (and the UK's certificate does comply) is sufficient, so you don't need to complete the Spanish health form as well.

Kind regards,

Kim

Yes...the paper one is acceptable so long as it has a qr code on it for them to scan

Hi just to let you know, we’ve just arrived in Spain, and the officials were asking everyone for the QR code from the SPTh form

Hi Lucy,

Thanks for this info - it appears that Spain's border guards are the last to know rules changes again!

For anyone planning to travel with just their EU compatible digital Covid certificate, it would seem wise to have the attached extract from the Spanish health website on their phone, so they can show border control that only ONE of the documents is now required.

Kind regards,

Kim

My up to date covid vaccination passport was scanned at Alicante airport last week which I believe contains a QR code . . I wasn't asked for the SPth.

I was asked for my SPtH form when I flew in on Friday. I queried this with the official and he told me those were the rules - thankfully I had it along with my EU Covid passport. I think it depends what official you get, as not all of them seem to be aware of the changes. I'd recommend that everyone also does the SPtH form in the meantime so you don't get caught out.

Or just do what I suggested by showing them the extract from the Spanish government's official health form website - and educate them at the same time! 😄
