Hello all

Is there anyone out there who knows where I can donate different sized pairs of shoes? My son has different sized feet due to his illness and we always end up with a second set of brand new shoes in two different sizes that my son can't use but could benefit someone else who has only one leg, for example? I don't think I should just assume the charity shops want them, it's a special market after all. I have asked a neighbour who knows people in the shoe manufacturing industry here in Elche but surprisingly none of them knows of any organisations. Can anybody on the CB Forum help, please? Thanks everybody!

No disrespect to the charity shops but there is charity for underprivileged children in Elche who I'm sure would be the ideal recipient.

I don't have details to hand but someone else here is sure to.

My wife had a contact but is not awake yet so I'll post that later when she gets up.

Hello

I think a hospital/centre with a  rehabilitation dept. would be able to help or suggest  somewhere for you to contact , people with  limbs removed would be very grateful for your donation.

Charity shops could be stuck with one shoe  or shoes for years and I know, having worked for Age Concern in Torrevieja for 12 years - odd shoes & extreme sizes usually got thrown away eventually due to lack of storage space.

Cheers

Thank you very much Elinspain. That sounds like a good idea, will try at the hospitals.
