We have been told that Spain have scrapped the SPth form for tourists if they have been fully vaccinated, think it’s come into force this week. Is this correct

There are several posts on this topic here already. Technically all you need to enter Spain with just now is your vaccine passport.

As long as you are fully jabbed and have had a booster if your full dose was over 270 days ago, you just need to show the QR code on your covid certificate, passing through the orange channel at border control.

Hi Valerie,

That's correct, but please note that for your Covid certificate to be valid, it must include the QR code, whether you've downloaded it to your mobile phone or have printed off a paper copy.

Also, if your original vaccination was administered more than 270 days ago, you need to have a booster jab and update your certificate to ensure the booster is recorded on it.  There is no expiry date for the booster.

Kind regards,

Kim

Hello we arrived in Alicante yesterday and its correct no health form required. Just your covid vaccination pass either on phone or the printed copy provided your bar code is showing..

Just out of interest, can you confirm them you were allowed entry with  a certificate showing a bar code as opposed to the QR code which is specified.

I believe the NHS  used to issued a  covid certificate by post and you could had to specify if it was for domestic or travel.  The domestic pass only had bar codes on, which was not acceptable for travel. You had to ask for a travel covid pass to get the QR code.

You  muddied the waters by saying you showed a “bar code”..These were the original letters issued by the NHS up to last October and I thought they were no longer valid to use. Therefore I was concerned that you’d somehow slipped through the net at Alicante and that you could have had a oroblem should you journey again with the same document.

But from  the wording of your reply  I can see that the certificates you produced did in fact have QR codes  (and not bar codes) on them.

Thanks for clarifying

Lynn
