Absolutely, Aitch. I'm sure travellers, flying for example, want to know that their fellow passengers are either fully vaccinated, or have provided a negative test result, as much as those of us living in Spain.
For overland travellers, it's worth noting that France has just introduced a new color-coded "traffic light system" for when it opens to international travellers on 9th June. The UK is on France's "orange list", which allows vaccinated travellers entry with proof of a negative PCR test; unvaccinated travellers will still only be allowed entry to France for "essential purposes".
Following publication of Spain's latest BOE (official bulletin) yesterday, the Spanish health minister, Carolina Darias (thanks to member Elinspain for the spot 👏) posted this on her Twitter feed last night:
"As of Monday, passengers coming to Spain will be able to access with PCR, antigen test or certificate of vaccination or recovery. The excellent vaccination data allows us to continue moving forward. Spain is a safe destination."
I haven't read the BOE yet, but given the EU's "reminder" to Spain, it will be interesting to see whether travellers from the UK continue to be exempt from Spain's latest rules.
Kind regards,
Kim
