Hi all,

I think I mentioned somewhere on here that I’ve had my Az jab 6th April second one 29th June. I am 64yrs.

However my wife had not received hers she is 62 years, having been to the Salud and made sure everything was up to date on at least three occasions and was told she would get a text. She never received one. I telephoned the GVA and was again told to go to the salud and they would make an appointment but again she was told to wait for a text.
Like a lot of people she and I were getting a bit impatient as I heard lower age groups are getting theirs, also there are a lot more people arriving from out of town. I again went on the GVA site and saw that the 60 to 65 year group had been completed.

Today Thursday 20th May, I decided to take my wife down to Torrevieja to the vaccine centre and take a chance we had no appointment, we got there about 3pm joined a farely large queue and waited to see what happened, we had no idea what vaccine they where giving. There was plenty of police and security and a sign that said APPOINTMENTS ONLY but I thought the worst thing they could do was refuse, so we carried on until it was my wife’s turn she handed her SIP card and TIE to the receptionist who went on the computer checked her SIP number, filled a form in and pointed to the cubicle my wife then got her jab which turned out to be the Pfizer, I asked when the next appointment would be and was told 10/11 June.
I have read that at least 10% don’t turn up for the vaccine, so morally right or wrong she has had hers and has an appointment for her second.

My gut instinct would be to recommend anyone to do as I have and if one partner gets an appointment take the other with you and do as we did.

Keep safe everyone.
