Hi all,new to the forum and been looking at many apartments in Formentera del segura to purchase hopefully in the new year, but wow there are so many to choose from.Could anyone give advice on location as good area, bad area to purchase etc.

There's currently a top floor apartment for sale above Montgomery's bar on Av.Reina Sofia which looks nice, but i have no idea what the area is like.I have looked on google earth and see that the main road is very close but it does benefit some open views

Any advice would be appreciated.

Many thanks Robbie

I would certainly recommend renting for an extended period to make sure you liked the area.

If you do decide on buying an apartment the top floor is recommended. I have neighbours above and can often hear them walking around in the early morning hours and especially when the lady wears high heels......

Just consider when buying position to bars, as people sit outside until very late, plus out

door for smoking will result in noise from outside.

Formentera is a lovely village and anywhere is a good location. Can't comment on the Las Palacio area as its nearer Rojales.

Things to think about ... being near bars means late night doors. Being near to the communal pool means lots of noise, particularly in the tourist season. If you buy an apartment with a lift the communal fees are much higher. Have a look at the maisonettes at the end of Communidad Valenciana, opposite the padel and tennis courts.

Hi, we have a top floor apartment near the row with flloyds, rumours and dialaprix and the views are great. Handy for these bars/shop but also for the rest of the village.

We also walk over to Benimar/Benijófar for food/drink via the bridge during day and along the main road at night.

It’s a lovely wee village and can drive to other surrounding areas including Quesada and to the beach.
Happy house hunting

Think about leaks from the roof could be very costly.
