Motorbike lessons - with English speaking instructor!
Hi all, hoping someone here can help.
I want to ride a motorcycle in Spain. I have no other driving licence the only prior experience I have was to take my CBT in England several years ago. So I need to start from scratch with a few lessons to gain confidence before taking the test (as I understand, I need to pass psychometric, theory and practical tests - not sure whether any can be done in English but I know the practical is in Spanish). I am looking to get the A1 licence as it's not too ambitious but it means I can ride on major roads.
I am an 'older lady' - I'm having trouble finding anywhere that will offer lessons at all - never mind an English speaking instructor. (Yes, I am learning Spanish - slowly - and know I need to know it to do the test but to help overcome initial anxiety I'd really appreciate a few lessons in English to start with!) I'm assuming most moped and bike learners are teenagers who pick it all up in a second and don't need lessons....?
My nearest large-ish town is Gandia but I am willing to go wider afield as long as I can get there on the bus - even look at intensives. All courses I can find are for racing or off-road.
Anyone know of anywhere I can get some basic riding lessons and even better, instructors who are patient and have a little English?
