Hello Marcliff

That's a good explanation of the D.N Visa.  I was reading some details about this  recently as I really knew nothing about it & was unaware of the  amount of finance required to achieve this. ..... €25000 for the first applicant  and  €9441 for each addition...

...al family member so, for the poster who was hoping to apply for his family of 5 , a total of €54,764. Here's the link where I got my basic info from, for anyone who is interested.

Yes, you require the same amount of earnings and health cover as you do for the NLV. The difference is that that can be projected earnings. With the NLV you have to have that money coming in from investments or whatever. With the nomad visa it can be what you will be paid in the first year.

The Nomad Visa sounds very inviting for third country residents who want to live and work from Spain. I have seen people voice concerns as it is not at all clear what the tax implications are from the UK side. You will presumably be a UK employee on a UK company payroll. You will be taxed on your income in Spain but what about the UK? I presume you have had proper tax advice. There is a bit here from the Guardian which outlines some of the tax scenarios which might arise. Spain does have a double taxation agreement with Spain.

Hi we're looking to relocate and have seen a few places in Gandia and also Denia, leaning towards Gandia but wanted to know how the place was set up for children ie sports facilities and after school activities in the area. Is it ideal for young families and how might it compare to Denia ?

Hi, I've not lived in either but have holidayed in both and also did quite a lot of searching around the Gandia/Oliva region when we were thinking of moving there from near Torrevieja.

In a nutshell, I would describe Denia as being more 'foreign populated' and possibly more of a foreign holiday destination than Gandia which (although it does have a holiday vibe, especially on the coast at Playa Gandia / Grau Gandia which is very very popular for Spanish holiday makers) - is more of a working city with all city facilities you would expect. Both are lovely places in appearance, cleanliness and vibe.

Oliva (which is about mid way between the two) is also a very nice place, with a fair percentage of foreigners living there permanently . It's a full working town too, and also has the beach about 2-3kms from the town.

There are several Facebook groups that service these areas - it might be worth posting some queries about specific services on there? And I also found this site if you haven't already

I don't think many will be able to come to work and live in Spain from the UK. All jobs have to be offered to Spanish nationals first or EU citizens, which means most will unlikely find work.

That's the beauty of remote work, you don't have to take a job in Spain, there's plenty of jobs in the UK that allow you to work anywhere in the world fully remote and benefits Spain as more money from abroad being spent in the country and in turn boosting the economy.

Not for this new visa. It is only available for non EU citizens working for a company not based in Spain.
