Nearest Medical Centre in Gran Alacant

Hello,

Can someone please help? We are here on holiday and for the last few days I have been feeling unwell. We don’t know where to go for some medical attention. We are situated up near the Unide supermarket in Gran Alacant and do not have a car.Can someone advise me where the nearest public medical centre is? I’m worried about leaving it over the weekend as I don’t seem to be getting any better. Thank you. Diane PS....Today is Friday 7 January

Hello

 You say 'We' are on holiday so, as you are not alone &  to eliminate Covid type symptoms, can someone go and buy you a home testing kit from any farmacia. If you test positive for Covid then you must isolate & stay indoors.

 If you have private health insurance you can go to any private  Dr. suggested by your insurers, or google and look for the nearest private Dr in your area and phone for an appt., you will have to pay for treatment & prescription costs

Thank you for your reply. My illness is not Covid related at all. Also we do not have private insurance, only a general policy taken out in the UK for our trip. I have spoken to some very helpful British neighbours who have given me a number for Gran Alacant Family Doctors who are not open until Monday. It is not an emergency, so I will just monitor my situation and not panic. 🤞

If you get worse you can go to any state doctor or hospital (not private) using your GHIC card.

If your symptoms worsen over the weekend, you can always go to the State (GHIC card) Medical Centre in Santa Pola. The address is Avenida Albacete, Santa Pola Tel 966 915 300 this is open 24 hours a day. Good luck and hope you feel better soon.
