It’s difficult to give any opinion on jobs as you don’t really say what your qualifications are? You obviously have an advantage if your husband is fluent in Spanish, but be advised that there is a huge unemployment situation here.
If you have professional qualifications ie: architect/engineer/ medical and so on, then you would need to check with the relevant governing bodies of the Spanish institutes that these comply with Spanish regulations and start applying in the usual manner.
The entire area is already overwhelmed with tradespeople of varying kinds, chasing work mainly amongst ex-pats for low rewards.
The usual rule of thumb is that if you need to work, you also need to have enough behind you to survive for a minimum of a year. Most of the foreign residents here are retired with some kind of pension; although of course, there are many perfectly legal successful businesses owned by expats of several nationalities. It’s not advisable to arrive and decide to set up on your own, unless you can offer sought after skills; you will also need to register with the tax office, the social services, and to obtain residencia you will need to have private medical insurance for the entire family , paid in advance for a year. The authorities are clamping down hard on people not working legally and the fines are swingeing.
Given the Brexit scenarios, no one really has any idea what is likely to happen, except that it is likely to become more difficult to gain residency here and the financial requirements will be greater than at present.
