... I got a bus from the airport to Torrevieja, the stand is just outside near the coffee place. I then got a bus from the Torrevieja bus station to the Guardamar bus station. It cost very little and the only hitch was having to buy the Guardamar ticket from the kiosk at the bus station before getting on the bus. I also use the Linea 2 very regularly to and from Eden and town. Except for the very busy times in July and August, it is very reliable.

...ber is 966 23 61 54 to check if they have a bus service into town because this site is about 3 km out in the countryside. Also, there is a small hamlet called Guardamar de la Safor, post code 46711 Valencia. I hope that this helps, Peter132

Currently they're about every 40 minutes, usually they increase the frequency in high season. 

Avanza do have an app, it's pretty basic but may give you enough of an idea to decide re a car.

The other thing is, guardamar is a nice enough place that you may not need to go out of town, and it's small enough that once you're there, you can get about on foot if you're relatively fit. Depends what type of holiday you like!

You could go to Alicante for the train but you'd be waiting a long time as Torrevieja doesn't have a train station, or trains come to that.
