Here we go, I'll get my popcorn 😁😁

No need for World War 3 over this. The reasons I didn't post where I lived were, as I've said, the OP was asking about entry to Spain and not exit from the UK. Also, I've mentioned Scotland before in a thread and it degenerated into an Scotland / England independence arguement between others.

Fay lives in England so unfortunately she's going nowhere at least until 2nd Dec.

OK I'm out. I try to help people as much as I can on this forum but I'm not putting up with being messed about.

I was trying to help people understand the regulations, avoid a potential fine, that's all.

If folk ask for advice they shouldn't complain if they don't like the advice they're getting or the fact I'm not psychic.

It might give you a chuckle then to hear that I'm also Scottish. Craig did not say where he lived, he just said he was 'flying in'. The population statistics between the countries gave me a good statistical chance that I would be right. He could easily have said 'I live in Scotland, do you know w...

...here we stand with this'

Maybe get that chip off your shoulder!

I don’t have a chip lol.

I didn’t see anyone not liking any of your advice at all.  Bring the baw back 😎

Thank you everyone for all the help.  Much appreciate your input.

Being in England we cannot fly......Boris rules!   And Spain won’t admit us! So, it’s home we stay!

We have now swapped flights to February in the hope that there will be some relaxation of the rules, and an improvement in the COVID situation by then.....and also because Ryanair said Free Transfers before mid March!

Roll on the Vaccine!

I feel it for you Fay.  We are the same.  We are booked on ferry on 19th Jan and hoping things will be a bit more relaxed by then. Fingers crossed   As you say roll on the vaccine.

Spain will admit you Fay. You can fly to Alicante and drive to Guardamar after Boris releases you.

Yes, here's hoping for a vaccine. Keep safe, you'll be there soon.

I'm not aware of how Scotland differs from England but I had the thought that it doesn't differ much, maybe you can correct me. Have you checked gov.scot?

You were correct about travel between Valencia and other provinces being prohibited 👍

Dinner out what difference to you does it make where he lives, he asked about Spain as did the other poster!  I’m sure they can all understand the rules about Covid and travel in the uk so don’t need a designated Covid policeman to dictate to them.

Why can people on here not just help with the questions instead of telling people how to live their lives!!

I fly out on Sunday for the week to do some work in our house. As far as I'm aware I can fly into Alicante but can only travel within the Valencian community outwith curfew times.

Unless if course I've missed an important announcement.......

I understand UK lockdown rules don’t allow any travel for holidays or to second homes at home or abroad , even before you consider Spanish lockdown rules . You might need to check on this .

There's a little confusion out there and conflicting advice on various platforms about entry INTO Spain.

I've spoken with the Spanish consulate here in Edinburgh this morning who confirmed that travel into Alicante is OK and travel from there around the Valencian autonomous region outwith curfew times is legal even for non residents.

For info on whether you can leave the UK see the government website for where you live.

Keep safe everyone 👍
