Maybe this is the reason ,for extending the ban on UK  citizens being allowed into Spain until at.least.end of May ,it cant be.the vaccination programme  in.UK ,or maybe which I think more likely it's a punishment for leaving.the club

If I remember correctly, you and Mbray don't even live in Spain.  Nevertheless, you're agreeing with Mbray that the Spanish vaccination programme is a "shambles" and the reason is because Spain wants to punish the UK for leaving the EU?  You seriously believe that Spain would "punish" its own citizens, just to "punish" UK residents?? 🙄

I didnt say that ,what I said is Spains vaccination programme may be a shambles ,but the reason for the extension of the ban on UK citizens until at least end of May is a punishment because of Brexit ,The UKs vaccination  programme has gone very well and also infection and death rate is very low ,Spain is however prepared to allow visitors from other countries  including Australia  ,New Zealand  ,Taiwan and a few more ,the numbers from these countries who visit are much less than from UK ,so why the continued ban .You are however correct in stating I dont live in Spain the Mason for that is another matter  and because of this I'm not blind to Spains failings

I'm not at all blind to Spain's "failings", I've lived here for 5 years.  I think you're entirely blind to Spain's achievements, because you feel you're being denied access to your holiday home, but how does writing uninformed nonsense about Spain's vaccination programme help your cause?

You just dont get it ,I've seen your postings over the last year ,you have never once criticised Spain ,I said Spains vaccination process May be a shambles. MAY being the keyword  ,I didnt say it was .It still doesn't explain the ban on UK citizens. There is no logic to the decision to ban UK citizens  ,the only explanation I can come up with is punishment

Hi Peter3473. I am 76, and also received my 2nd SMS this morning for my 2nd Moderna vaccination at the Ocio centre, but it says 08/05/2021, which is Saturday! Has anyone else been asked to attend on a Saturday?

I was expecting the restrictions on UK citizens entering Spain to be reviewed soon and that those restrictions would be eased, hopefully during May. Have the Spanish government announced any review of the current restrictions?

Aitch.

I have seen on the Spanish news over past weeks of people attending on Saturdays, or you could enquire this at your local health centre, I would and also go on Saturday at the time stipulated. Good luck and I hope it works out for you. Don’t forget to let us know how you get on, thank you.

Remember to take your PASSPORT with you. A neighbour has just been to Torrevieja and was asked for it. (My husband didn’t need it at Cabo Roig.)
