You haven't "taken too much notice", but you've decided that the vaccine roll-out in Spain "is a shambles"?  😳🤣🤣🤣

Well all I’m reading is the age groups that are being offered the jab currently in Spain is a long long way behind the UK, I asked ‘Why’, I don’t see anyone come up with a reason yet, there may not be an obvious answer but it’s definitely a shambles compared to the UK, no I don’t live in Spain , I have no wish to, l have property and I love to visit ( have had for 16 years) but in my experience the Spanish are not that switched on when if comes to organising anything effectively .

I don’t think there’s any truth in the comments I’ve seen about the UK being punished by Spain either, they’d gladly take my euros, that’s like cutting there nose off to spite there face ( for The Eurocrat dumb ass’s that may be a different matter, that’s the main reason I wanted out of the EU), you know what you can do with ‘the club’ , love Europe not the EU

ok off you go 🤣

Well Mbray if notba punishment  ,I'm awaiting to be enlightened  ,UK has had 15million double vaccinations and over 30 million  1st vaccinations hardly likely to be spreaders ,also low infection and death rates ,they say they want to welcome tourists back , they are allowing people from Australia  ,New Zealand ,Taiwan and a few other countries  I'd be happy to listen to why

I was expecting the restrictions on UK citizens entering Spain to be reviewed soon and that those restrictions would be eased, hopefully during May. Have the Spanish government announced any review of the current restrictions?

Aitch.

Only thing I read Aitch is ban on UK extended until end of May

Whilst I agree that the EU as a whole have not done well with vaccination I also think I need to point out that the UK have done spectaculary badly in every other department. If the vaccine roll-out had not been a success we undoubtedly would continue to have had the worst, most embarrassing record in the West. Our decisions have been motivated by economy before people and British 'exceptionalism' - our god is money and the best example of that is in Downing Street......oh and we Brits always know better!

People in glass houses and all that.

We've just had our second dose of the vaccine at our local health center. It has all been very efficient and fast. No queues and we were given information about where we can print off our proof of vaccination. Muy bien.

Most of your comments show a bias against the UK but certainly your comment about being motivated by economy before people is just plain stupid. If it was economy before people why have the government continued to furlough so many people, why have they spent vast sums on vaccination plants, vaccinations and the rollout scheme, why are they resisting the calls to open up the economy until they judge the infections are at the right level?  Why are they investing so much in future vaccines?

The UK was not looking good before the turn of the year but since then they have got all the important decisions right, as reflected in the current covid stats.

Aitch.

I have seen on the Spanish news over past weeks of people attending on Saturdays, or you could enquire this at your local health centre, I would and also go on Saturday at the time stipulated. Good luck and I hope it works out for you. Don’t forget to let us know how you get on, thank you.

Hi Peter3473. Thanks for the helpful information. I will let you know how I get on. The staff were so helpful when I had my first jab. Best wishes to you.

I think Aitch ,the reason for so much caution ,is they have made so many bad decisions in the past ,they have now adopted a cautious approach  ,we will see what they come up with regards  foreign travel .I think it's high time Johnson forced these testing companies to drop their extortionate prices ,part of Johnsons pledge.was supposed to be levelling up ,although I never believed that for a minute he now has a chance to cut the profits of these greedy pigs ,but I wont hold my breath ,leopard and spots come to mind

We should know the changes on foreign travel for non-essential travel by May 17th, this has been the plan for some time. Testing costs are too high, but as we are not supposed to be travelling I don't think anyone was going to change these to make travelling more appealing.

I am not too worried what the UK announce re non-essential travel but more interested in the Spanish authorities changing the entry rules for UK citizens into Spain. I still have flights booked for mid-June.
