thanx for your reply...ive been looking into spanish tenancy laws and there just as strict as the uk if not more so...so im afraid you are wrong by saying not like uk law..i do understand that even if someone is in arrears with there rent the landlord cannot just throw you out on the street its a criminal offence to do so,they have to go abide by the rules..i just want to confirm with a lawyer that the landlord has to follow the correct procedure..cheers terry

ABOGADO is what you need (in order to deal with Penal & "domestic" solicitors in Spain) for what you need. First advice (normally free) as in solicitors, after that, you decide how to proceed. There are new eviction orders (recently) regarding judicial ( as opposed to Guardia Civil) before)

"Knowing the functions and duties of a criminal lawyer is important to be able to select the most appropriate professional. The complexity of the current criminal process makes the intervention of these types of lawyers essential, since without them the accused or complainant can hardly exercise before the criminal courts their right to have a fair trial and trial with guarantees."

thanx for your message..as far as my inquiry goes,i only want advice rather then action..just need to know what is the correct procedure if the landlord just sends an e-mail asking you to leave without going through the proper channels.i presume there are laws in place for such actions like the uk.i was reading somwhere that in spain its a criminal offence if the landlord uses his own method to get you out of his property...cheers TERRY

So not paying your rent is ok the landlord has to take the hit for that why shouldn't he take his property back if your not paying the rent do you expect to get it for free

So your willing to pay for the services of an Abogado rather than pay your rent, I think you have your priorities wrong.
