Hello I am hoping to buy a 2 bed place in guardamar initially for holidays and then maybe permanently max 90€k. I don’t drive (well not on the right hand side) do want to be very central to amenities and close to beach. Also somewhere easily reached by transfer from the airport? Am I better somewhere like El Raso? Or centre of guardamar? Thanks Clairep

Hello.

In El Raso you will need to use the bus and there is less shops than in the centre of Guardamar. Town hall is planning to connect with buses the airport with the centre of Guardamar.

In my opinion centre is so much better about transport, amenities and security.

In El Rasp you could buy an independent house but I think more expensive.

Regards

Hi,

We purchased in Guardamar in August last year, in the area opposite Masymas.

The Masymas supermarket is just across the road from where we stay and there is also a local bus that runs every hour (Monday to Friday except July and August when its everyday) costs 85 cents to get to the centre of the town and also goes to the Bus Station .There's also a weekly market on a Wednesday.

We get transfers (legal) from the Airport at Alicante to Guardamar for 40 euros per journey if you want more contact details pm me.

Please bear in mind that buying a home has around 13/15% on top of the purchase price but i'm sure you're probably already aware of that.

An easy 10/15 minute stroll takes us to the town hall in Guardamar and another 5 minutes to the bus station.

If we can answer any other queries please pm us.

Kind regards

Central Guardamar is a great place to live and all amenities are within walking distance plus buses if you want to go further afield. It's friendly and multicultural, plus the most beautiful beach and countless bars/restaurants.

Hi. I have just bought an apartment 5 minutes walk from the bus garage, 12 minutes walk to the beach and close to shops and restaurants. It’s a great location. I have little if any intention of driving. I’m currently still working in the UK so getting out when I can. I wanted a Spanish working town and not a tourist area with lots of holiday homes and fried breakfast on offer. So far I am very happy.
