Just thought that I would let others know what a great experience I had at Torrevieja hospital a few weeks ago compared to 2 years ago.

This time I had to wait 1 and 1/2 hours to see the A&E doctor,  who wasn't very helpful or sympathetic,  we used Google translate to communicate,  asI felt so I'll I could barely talk.

Luckily once he asked a few questions the computer told him I needed to have tests and be admitted.

Once on the other side, the nursing staff were all excellent and caring. I had my tests immediately,  a doctor came to speak to me, 2 doctors from ICU spoke to me. Then one of the nephrologist came to speak to me and got me on a ward.

Within hours I was in my own room, and received excellent care, I was allowed home after a week, with medications, lots of information and a follow up appointment.

I couldn't fault anyone, including the staff who brought the food round and cleaners, all happy and a smile for you.

2 years ago I had exactly the same thing and discharged myself after 5 days, the nursing care was almost non existent,  and uncaring. They ignored the nephrologists advice , and seemed to have no knowledge of anything related to kidneys.

So I felt that I had to post this, as it may help anyone who needs to be admitted and is feeling worried.

Thank you. Very reassuring to hear such a positive report.  Someone also told me of a very positive experience they had in Torrevieja A&E recently, in contrast to other recent reports about treatment in A&E.
Wishing you a speedy and full recovery.
