Where in Guardamar, we are new buyers, can we access GP services and where is there a hospital that will accept the GHIC card?? Thanks for any advice you can give.
As non residents with EHIC's or GHIC's you can go to any public medical centre or hospital in emergencies or for treatment for something which cannot wait until your return to UK, you cannot actually register with a doctor.

Thanks so much Darro,
So if we need to see a GP do we just go a clinic in the town. Where is the medical centre that is close to Masymas, do you know, and where is the nearest public hospital??

The medical centre is opposite the bus station in Guardamar. Nearest hospital is in Torrevieja.
If you need medical services. Take your passport along with your European health card

An EHIC or GHIC covers state healthcare, not private treatment.
With an EHIC or GHIC you can get medically necessary treatment in Spain on the same basis as a Spanish citizen. This means that you’ll get healthcare services for free or at a reduced cost.
An EHIC or GHIC is not a replacement for travel insurance – it does not cover everything, such as mountain rescue or being flown back to the UK (medical repatriation). Make sure you have both before you travel to Spain.
You may need to pay in full for treatment if you do not have an EHIC or GHIC.
