Hello
I’ve just been told that Guardamar and surrounding beaches are all closed tomorrow due to the recent restrictions. Can anyone please confirm if this is correct as that’ll be all of plans out the window :(

I know for definite that La Zenia beach will be closed so I imagine that will apply to other beach gatherings for everyone's safety.

No idea where you got that information from. But totally incorrect.
Orihuela Costa have closed their beaches to stop the La Zenia Party moving to nearby beaches in that area. It would be impossible to police social distancing when you have 4000 people on the beach all day.
None of the other beaches have organised gatherings, no brass bands, no carol singers. So you find that the other beaches will just have people going for a gentle stroll on the beach, there’s very little to distinguish Christmas Day to the other 364 days of the year. There’s nobody setting up camp with their barbecues, coolers or Christmas trees. So the most you’d get sitting on the beach at anyone time would be maybe 30 I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone cooking their Christmas dinner on the beach at Guardamar, not sure if it’s even allowed, the way it is at La Zenia.
So you’ll be fine having your Christmas Day on the beach at Guardamar.
Happy Christmas
Lynn
