Hello !

I am new to this forum and I have bought an apartment in Guardamar which has no gas. I am wondering whether households can be connected to the Gas on an individual bases or the whole of the building/condominium has to do so.   I am on the second floor of a 3 storey block.

Do you have any experience of this ?

Thank you

Leo

It is unusual for properties in Spain to be connected to ‘mains’ gas, this is usually only available in some large cities. Most people use bottled gas - Repsol being the main supplier and GasNatural for the ‘mains’ gas.

I believe you need to have various inspections and a safety certificate to enable you to form a contract with Repsol for supply of bottled gas.

They will have a website and telephone numbers and if they are similar to iberdrola, the main electricity supplier, the site will be in several languages and they may have a multi-lingual phone system.

Hello Leo

It doesn't fully answer your question but Guardamar definitely has  mains gas as the gas main was put in at the end of our street. Our urbanization doesn´t have it because everyone or a large percentage had to take up the offer. I do know Iberdrola have gas see https://www.iberdrola.es/en/gas/home-gas-plan Their office is just on the right as you enter Town from the Torrevieja end just before the large vets San Anton

Kind Regards

Mike
