Hi, this isn't an answer to your question, more of a question.
We are also thinking of moving to spain with a 10 year old. What are you doing about schooling I hope you don't mind me asking?

Hello Julie,
There seems to be a lot of positive info on this forum regarding Spanish schools for children. Location to me seems to take priority when you bring children to live abroad.
While children under 10 may enjoy outdoor playing and living in a quiet rural area seems wonderful, their needs will change dramatically over next 5 to 10 years. You will need access to schools, shops, sporting facilities and contact with other children.
The following family have posted this. They are moving to an ideal area I would say. Nice town, close to Airport, public transport, employment opportunities, schools, and Alicante city for all the facilities that may provide going forward.
Perhaps post your message on the following thread as well. Also put “schools” into search bar above and “everything” into location. You can send private message to people. Read JIMS GUIDES on this form, full of useful information.
Best wishes for your move to Spain
