Hi, can anyone tell me is it the car that is insured regardless of who is driving it

I think you need to check the details of each insurance contract.
We have a standard saloon which can be driven by anyone over 26.
We also have an old sports car which can be driven by named drivers only.

My insurance covers the car and roadside assist which is fairly standard on most insurances so yes it is the car that’s insured not the driver.
