Garden waste pile in garden over fence needs labour and transport to remove

As has been mentioned above, you need to contact your local town hall as they deal with the removal of rubbish.

Please keep us up to date. I have recently spoken to the council. They told me,
"NO GREEN WASTE BESIDE THE BINS"
It must be taken to the waste depot.

Did you see the reply from the lady in La Marina only 2days ago (from poppydom) After several replies, she said she went to the council & this was her reply. post..........
"Been to council and told leave by bins as they have designated company to clear green waste
Done this with smaller amounts and cleared and swept when i was there
Great service "
This is also how it works for us, in my area
It's very confusing when trying to give correct advise to La Marina residents - also what happens if you have no transport?

Yes, I did see her reply, that is what confused me. I was given another answer from the council about 5 weeks ago. 🤔

We are NOT allowed to leave any rubbish by the bins in La Marina.
There is a Punto Limpio for garden waste. You need a card to use this facility. The tourist office can supply a card if you have proof of identity and address.
Other large waste items will be collected for free by the council if you ring to request the service.
