Hi guys!  Being a newbie I'm really enjoying this Forum and it's clear that there are lots of genuinely helpful people around.  However, as I've been surfing around the archives I've noticed some posts that don't ring true (posts under one name and then posts that show as being linked in their profile under different names - also, single random posts that contain pictures clearly lifted off the that are used as profile pics). Being a bit of a cynic, I was wondering - if members decide to change their profile name etc, do their original details stay linked and show as the original name?  I appreciate that the Forum admin does a great job and no doubt are very busy, but are there checks done on posters' authenticity?  I'm hot identifying the example I've found as it wouldn't be appropriate iin the public forum.  I am keen to use this great forum to beneficial effect and would be disappointed if fake identifies are a problem (I know nothng is perfect in this world and it pays be vigilant but it's a sad world and f we can't trust each other!).  Many thanks for your thoughts.

Having reread my post I'm horrified to notice some typos - please forgive me.  The original post was typed on a small tablet and it's difficult to control the keyboard! Sorry folks.

Hi Colin,

We have spam filters and other security measures plus our moderators do watch out for fake posts and people who claim to be something they are not and deal with them appropriately.

However, it would be great if you could point any out to us that you are suspect of, obviously not on this open forum but by using the 'Report' button that is at the side of every post (in the top right corner) - If any of our members click on this and let us know anything they are not happy with. we always investigate and delete, warn and/or ban the member posting.
