Why are there so many street lights not working on the urbanisation?

We ar missing three street lights now on Luis de Gongora and over the urb generally ther must be over 100 out. It cant be the council savinf money as the missing ones seem to be very scattered. Quite dangerous in places and certainly a boon to the villians.

Any ideas as to what is happening?

I asked  at the council office, when I was there in September. They told me it was caused by the heavy rain earlier, and water was getting into the wiring. They are still trying to find out where the problem is. Being Spain, this will probably take some time to rectify.

Think of it as a blessing, less light pollution, less tax payer money spent and despite what most would believe it makes it harder for criminals not easier. Less shadows to creep around in and if they can see what is in your yard because you have it lit up with an insecurity light then it is like Christmas for them.

Do away with the blasted things I say.
