Hi There,

I'm interested in owning a home with a pool, can anyone tell me before I buy what are the hidden costs to owning a pool? Does it add to property tax and overheads? Are there serious reasons why more people don't have one when they live inland?

Any information would be great thanks!

Thanks for getting back to me Pete! Ya good point on the paperwork! I notice you're in Villamartin...whats it like living there? I'll be living on my own for a fair part,so I'm looking for a good expat community around 40's/50's age?I don't drive yet and it seems quite spread out in Gated Communities which is not for me...I'm fairly alternative(designer, artist, love all sorts of music, dancing but private) so bingo ain't for me,no offence to anyone!

we bought an apartment (with communal pool) in torrezenia near aldi store if you don't mind the walking its possible to reach beach in 35/40mins and la Fuente 30/35mins and also villa martin about the same, lots of bars etc in cabo roig, playa flamenco, la zenia areas all places the wife and I have walked to. Our costs for pool only are 340 euros per annum so cheap if compairing costs
