I'm planning to buy a house in the urbanisation, but have been hit with a life/disability policy cover from sabadell of 12000 payable up front, is it possible to arrange my own cover and pay per month like in the UK. I would be very grateful for any advice as this is putting me right off buying

Hi Michael, could you be a little more specific about what this is so that we can help more accurately?
12000 or 1200 and is this an insurance policy? Insurance policies are not necessary for property purchases. But if you can explain a little more I'm sure you'll get the answers you need.

It is a life insurance policy costing 12300 for the term of a 17 year mortgage of 85000.The monthly mortgage payment would include the 60 euro a month, I'm told that it is compulsory.
