Having completed the S1 form with the appropriate appointment at Social Services at Torrevieja ,  then told to take to the medical centre to hand in the assigned papers who then sent us to the town hall, who then advised it will take a month or so to collect the new red Sip card from your “medical centre in January “ Now just been to the medical centre to be told you need to fill in a S1 form and produce your nie, this procedure has already been completed back in October , Do we go to the “Town Hall” or Medical Centre to collect the SIP.

I don't understand, especially the reference to the town hall.

INSS should have given you a form stating that you qualified for state health cover.

That should then have been taken to your medical centre of choice, who would register you with a doctor and give you a SIP card. If it's a small medical centre that can't produce plastic cards, they should have issued you with a temporary cardboard card, which you'd then take to the larger centre that the smaller one comes under, and they'd issue the plastic card.

Thank you for your help , yes did all of the above so all should be good may be getting impatient to receive the sip card for my elderly chap. As it was a mix up they wanted to send him not by his choice to Guardamar, as we live La Marina this was definitely not useful to a invalid. But thanks Guys

There is a SIP lady goes to La Marina Town Hall one day per week (sorry, but cannot remember which day), if I were you I would go back to her and ask for further advice.
