Hi to Everyone

My name is Helen and I am new to this site.  My partner (Richard) and I are in the process of buying a property on Urb La Marina for our future retirement (we are in our early 50s). Hoping to rent it out at some point.  I would like to be able to speak the basics of Spanish so I can at least try and converse.  Does anyone know of any good online Spanish courses or reference books etc.

Thanks

Helen

You could try this -  https://www.duolingo.com/course/es/en/Learn-Spanish-Online

You could try Pimsleur Catalan Spanish it's about $100 for 30 lessons, easy to follow along with also Synergy Spanish, however I would show your interest and see if the offer a free trial as they often drop their prices to get you to buy their stuff.

Duo lingo is free you can download the app, it is a good beginning and builds up your vocabulary and skill.

Duo lingo on line is excellent. I have been using it for some time now. It is very good for revision. You get grammer also.

Thank you for your kind response.  I will try a free trial initially.  Been advised I don’t really need it on La Marina but would still be nice to grasp the basics.  Best wishes, Helen

Thank you.  This one seems to be a favourite with people so far.  Best wishes, Helen

There is somebody advertising spanish lessons on the Urb, they are a couple of doors up away from Barclays estate agents.

Hi,

I've just sent a PM to Helen about my Spanish teacher. I cannot post my teacher's email address publicly (forum rules), so if anyone is looking for 1-to-1 Spanish lessons, send me a PM and I'll reply with her email address.

She is located a few minutes inland across the N332 from La Marina.

Jelle
