Primary Schools in Marina Alta

There will be  no state schools for foreign nationals. You usually have two choices 

1. Put them in an international school cost usually 600-800e per mth

2. Put them straight into   Spanish school. 

Only one is of school age so it should keep the cost down.  Or alternatively 6 is a reasonable age to throw them straight into a Spanish school

Sorry for my ignorance but i'm a little confused. At the top you said there were 'No state schools' but then went on to say the we could 'put them into Spanish school'. I thought state schools were Spanish schools or is that incorrect?

It's ok. You said in your original post state schools for those who don't speak English. There are none of these.

You either immerse your child in a Spanish school where they will be taught in Spanish... Or pay the money and put them in an international school.

At 6 you could take a chance and put them in the Spanish school 

Understood. Apologies I meant neither of us speak Spanish. As you suggested I fully intend to immerse  the girls into a fully Spanish school. They are both confident and enjoy making new friends so I am sure they will be okay although I wasn't sure if the schools would except people that don't speak Spanish so I was wondering if there happened to be schools that catered for the higher expat areas.

They will and I think at 6 it's a really good age to get them.in. as long you're registered/legal there will be no problems. 

All state schools in the Costa Blanca area will have British kids in but they will all be ultimately taught as Spanish kids

I was speaking to a lady the other day who has two children and she enrolld them in a spaniah school and within a year they were quite fluent in Spanish.  I think this would be the way to go as her kids are at a level where if they need to go to a doctors,hospital, police etc. They are able to do the translation to a high standard. The lady lives in  benijofar so I assume that' the location of the school
