Hi

We are wondering if anyone here knows of a company / specialist air conditioning servicing outlet

We have two which are not throwing too much warm air and need looking for reasons why

Any help would be much appreciated

Preferably one which does not charge a call out charge

Thx

You may have already done this, but before calling an engineer out, switch the units off, unplug the electricity, open the lids manually and clean any dust accumulation off the plastic filters. On most modern units the plastic filters can be easily lifted out, washed in warm water, dried carefully and replaced.

If the filters haven't been cleaned for a long time you should notice a difference straight away. As I say, apologies if you've done it and still have temperature issues.

We used a gentleman called Gary 602596492 he serviced our aircon prior to the winter months he charged €35, very reliable and tidy.

Have a look at the air filter, by the time they get obstructed reducing considerably the air flow.

FYI the plastic filters and air filters that dinnerout & killjoy have mentioned are the same thing, on majority of indoor a/c units these can be accessed by folding down and opening the plastic cover, with vented slots, on the front of the units. The filters can then be simply pulled out to be cleaned. If this has not been done for a considerable time you will see plenty of dust collected on the surface of the filters. This is the 1st thing an a/c engineer will look at
