Hi everyone , hope you are able to help, we have bought a log cabin on the outskirts of La Marina and have no electricity. We are looking at Solar Panels but unsure if you need a power supply for the solar panels or if you can get them fitted without ? We bought it 3 years ago and havnt been over since but we are coming over at the start of January for two months. We also need our water tank cleaned and refilled and someone to empty the septic tank. These are the immediate things we would like to look into prior to our arrival. Any help would be appreciated

Hi

You could have an "off grid" solar system installed with batteries which would give you power even when the sun isn't shining. You don't need a power supply as that is the idea of the solar system. It will be expensive.....I'd guess the best part of €10,000 .

Cheers

I would guess more than 10,000€ for the whole set up. I am on grid so 12 panels and inverter plus installation was just over 6000€ and after shopping around that was cheap. I think it is the battery that will bump up the cost, which you will need obviously if you are off grid.
