hi
i am asking if anyone could private hire/loan my wife and i a car from 6th July to 13th July so i can get from Alicante airport to villa in La Romana with the odd visit to the town for supplies ETC

You need to approach an official car hire company, who will carry the correct insurance etc. Any private owner making a financial arrangement with you to hire their car to you will be in breach of their insurance T&Cs.
