Dear All,

Originally had Ali Express and Amazon account whilst residing in Belgium; have now relocated to Valencia, Spain.
Both Ali Express and Amazon are not able to deliver my paid goods to me in Valencia because according to them my home address does not exist.  It does exist because it has been confrim with my local town hall.

Has anybody had transport and delivery problems with their paid orders from Ali Express and Amazon arriving in Spain?
If yes, how did you solve it?
What delivery address should I use?
Can I instruct Ali Express and Amazon to specifically use DHL courier services?

Is it best to completely delete all my Ali Express and Amazon accounts for a few months and then make new accounts with my new Spanish address?

All advise is warmly welcome.  Thank you.

This may not be convenient for you, but these companies usually offer to deliver to a local pick up point as an alternative to home delivery. Quite often I use mine (the local BP garage about 3km away) because I've had a few occasions where they say they've tried to deliver but we weren't in, when we knew perfectly well that we were.

Hi Herefordjack,  Thanks for sharing.  Did you first cancel and delete your AliExpress and Amazon accounts and then set up new accounts with a new addess?  How long did you have to wait before you set up your new delivery address with AliExpress and Amazon?  After completion and from start to finish how long did it take you to receive your paid orders?

If you are having something delivered to a pickup point then your home address is immaterial. no need to cancel or change accounts.

i find it more convenient to have packages delivered to pickup points, so i can collect when it is convenient for me.

cheers, J

ps. Obviously I don't order from amazon in the UK, or any company there.

Hi, I've never had an Aliexpress account, never used them.

I had an Amazon account in the UK before moving over here and as far as I remember (its a bit hazy!),  I kept the same account and just updated my address and phone details by speaking to customer service. Can't remember the whole procedure.

I never order from Amazon UK now, just Amazon DE or occasionally ES.

Hi Kim

You don't say which Amazon site you are using? We use Amazon.es all the time, without problems.

With smaller items, we get them delivered to our nearest Amazon lockers (you will find a list of them somewhere in the delivery options). Once there, you will receive an email with an access code which will open the locker door - you need to collect within a few days. However, not all small items can be delivered this way, only those held at an Amazon warehouse.

We once ordered a bed, which was too big for the lockers. The delivery company wouldn't specify a time, but they did phone me when they were close by, and I met them in the street (we live in a secure gated community, so they can't get to our precise address).

I have also had one item (from a different website) delivered to my local bar.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Steve

Hi we live in Daya Nueva.  We use Amazon Prime.  We have a fantastic service.   Everything delivered to our door.  Always on the day stated and when tracked... always in the time stated.   We can not fault them.     When we lived in Andalusia it was very bad.....no courier could ever find our house.....so it is a pleasant difference up here.    Good luck with your move.

Not having heard of aliexpress i just had a look at it.I checked out the women's clothes and they were expensive.

I, like me, you would rather shop online for clothes I use and recommend, VENCA, KIABI and the ubiquitous SHEIN for clothes. Also La Redoute, bit pricier but ok.

if you have animals ZOOPLUS give excellent service for animal food and requirements, at approx.HALF the price of the supermarkets.

cheers, j

Amazon often use UPS, ther worst delivery service in the world. I have had trouble with them before and have trouble now with an order on 3rd Jan, on 11th Jan and now they CLAIM they will deliver it to a UPS drop off five miles away instead of using my local one, on the 17th Jan.

Go to TRUSTPILOT where people complain about bad businesses and Amazon.co.uk has had some very bad reviews in recent months. It is not just UPS delivery but when you contact Amazon, you only get dead ends. No one cares. They are getting as bad as the WISH site.

Hi

If you're in Spain, why would you order from Amazon.co.uk? I've never had a problem with Amazon.es.

Cheers
