That's not what you said your friend told you. It has been below 1.09. As I said, get a more reliable friend to advise you with facts.

I’ve seen it at Gatwick as low as 97cents.

Not according to Gov.UK, you remember them.  You can be told many things but border control is where it matters, not the agent who is selling the property. Is this the same friend who you go to for advice?

No this information was given to my friends who had gone to Bulgaria to buy a holiday home, they were told at the Immigration Office that passports were not always stamped, the same that someone on this site quoted that their passports were not stamped at Alicante Airport.

What has the Gov.U.K. got to do with the laws in Bulgaria?

Maybe when you leave school and enter the world of grown ups, you might understand.

You don't actually need your passport stamped. Everything is electronic. A stamp is a visual verification, your passport is electronically scanned at passport control. My passport isn't stamped anytime as I am a British citizen and a Spanish resident.

We are looking at bank rate. What rate the exchange offices choose to use depends on what profit they want.

You really need to start a new topic thread otherwise not many people will see your question.

We stayed two days over, left through France and the fine for two days was 190 Euros  each, we were late through ill health.  Hope this helps.

That was unfortunate but could have been worse. Could you clarify please, had you been staying for a continuous 90 days? Or were you over for a holiday?
