Non resident tax

I’m giving notice to my solicitor about terminating my fiscal representation. They have come back with the following:

As you are still a non resident in Spain you have to have a fiscal representative registered within the Tax Office and, at the moment, we are still registered. If you do now want to continue with our fiscal representation service, we would be obliged should you can confirm to us who is your new fiscal representative and then we will send you our cancellation of services form for you to sign it.

I have a replacement ready but am interested if I need to comply with their request

Never heard of that one, perhaps they're desperate to retain your business.
