I have a lot more paid in per month than they want and have a lot in my account but they Still say I have pay charges

If you are maintaining the highlighted areas below you should get free banking with Sabadell....

IF "You are the holder of a mutual fund or an individual pension plan or an individual insured or social security plan, with an average monthly balance of more than €25,000"

If you are meeting the free banking requirements then it will be worth visiting the bank and discussing your account.

We are Residents, held an Expansion Account with Sabadell for many years and as we paid in State Pensions over 700€ pm we had no charges.

Sabadell no longer offer the Expansion Account and in order to retain free banking customers have to have certain Sabadell products. We don’t want or need any of them....

...

I’m aware I can pay all my direct debits using my Wise or Revolut Accounts but does anyone know if there is a way to use an ATM without incurring charges?

Hi

re charges at ATM - I take cash using my Wise card from Cashzone ATMs which don't charge. However, Wise themselves will charge if you take more than £200 in a month, so I use my Wise (visa) card for almost everything. Cash is reserved for tips!

Cheers

If you have a certain amount paid in per month from pensions etc and stay over a certain threshold then it's still without charges.

Steve

We have well over the threshold paid in via state pensions monthly and the amount in the account is always over the required amount, the changes are to the account not to my banking circumstances. I will be calling in to the local branch to get clarification when possible.

Called in to my bank and they confirmed that the account conditions have change to get free banking you need to have other products with them not just a minimum monthly pension and a healthy balance.

Sabadell charge €20 a quarter even if you have a pensioner account and have your pension paid in to your account.

I’ve just been told that bankinter do not charge anything do you know.

My Sabadell Bank has not informed me of any changes to my expansion account.  I've not paid any charges for over a year.

I hadn’t pay any charges for 7 years then last September was told I would have to pay €20 a quarter.

We have a joint account, we’ve still not been told we’ll pay charges, but as I friend told me they had been informed they would, that’s when I contacted Sabadell who confirmed their Expansion Account no longer existed and the gave me the scale of charges ranging from Nil to 240€ pa depending on which of their products you have.

According to the Sabadell scale I fall into the zero fee category and that is why I don't get charged on my account 😊
