Hi, we had a mortgage with Sabadell and now it’s been paid off Sabadell’s bank charges are 30€ per quarter. Because we purchased house & content insurance with them, the charges is reduced to 20€ per quart. As a result we opened an account with Bankinter who is offering free banking to new customers (regular 800€ per month deposit etc - worth having a read about their criteria). BBVA is also offering the same but no need for regular payment! Both have website in English. Good luck

All the online banks give ATM free usage per month, once twice etc,I find N26 with its Spanish IBAN number gives best service in Spain,no hang ups with DD with Orange etc.
So in a nutshell all you people are being “Blackmailed” by Sabadell Bank !!! Buy our Products ……. Or else ……… Consider voting with you feet ……

Please see terms and conditions for Sabadell in photo attached. These came in Last June. Paymes are debited quarterly, September, December, March and June
If you meet the requirements for €0 fee's then you will not be charged any fee's....simples!

If you have a certain amount paid in per month from pensions etc and stay over a certain threshold then it's still without charges.

Hi, we’ve been with Sabadell for several years and have always paid 20€ per quarter - as long as we deposit a minimum of 700€ per month. If you ‘forget’ or do not meet this min. deposit, they charge 60€ a quarter (this info’ is in my contract). The only way to avoid charges is to have a loan or take out an insurance policy, or something similar with the bank. It is a tier system, as someone else mentioned in this chat.

I am with Cajamar. I don’t pay fees but I had to invest around 1200 euros in their shares. My pension is paid in to Cajamar as are my DD for bill payments for water electric and tax. I also have a free online account with BBVA which I use for withdrawing cash as their ATM is close by. My mum was with Sabadell for years since it was CAM and they started charging her really high fees. She now has the tiered account, she already had house insurance through them which had been really good, her pension is paid in and her DDs paid. I think this makes it free or 20 euros a quarter. You should make an appointment to discuss your needs in branch. They were really great with my mum who is 98.

I have an account with Sabadell, I have few complaints about their service but their bank charges are high. I am not resident so have always paid charges. I did have their home insurance until recently, when I switched through Jennifer Cunningham and saved just under 100euro for probably a better policy. So be aware that they are overcharging for their products as well as the bank charges.

Aitch.
