Just been turned down for Medical Insurance

Planning to make the permanent move mid July, plans just dealt a blow because I was recently diagnosed with 'Atrial Firbulation' (an irregular heartbeat) which has led to ASSSA declining to offer me cover which as I am only 61 will need for my residency.

I'd be grateful if anyone knows of any other providers who might be more willing to cover risks but at a higher premium or any other solution?

If you or your partner have a UK pension then you can join the free healthcare system in Spain.

Thanks but neither of us can claim UK state pension for a while.

The previous reply suggested Alfonso at Granalicantinsurances who was brilliant yesterday, hes dealing with it now so fingers crossed, will know for sure in next few days.

I also have some pre existing conditions for which I'll need consultant checks, can I ask who you ended up getting insurance with and what it cost (guessing it was suitable for residencia too)?

Hi, I went with Salus through Alfonso at Gran Alicant Insurance Whois brilliant. Cost was about €1500 and they excluded certain pre existing conditions but good enough for Residency.
