This one is simple pendants. The left one is from the prunings off our olive tree. It's an abstract design and, if you squint, I hope you might think it's representative of a tree. I made a couple of dozen of the olive design, for Margaret's daughter to give to her clients.

The one on the right is from a piece of encina. I thought it was a nice log, so didn't put it on the fire....

...

Wow,

Aren't you a clever boy, man of many talents, they look beautiful.

The first one is a Geometrical masterpiece and the others equally impressive.

The work of a Master Craftsman at work.

Jim,Thanks for sharing examples of your achievements , most impressive. 👍👍

Margaret spends a lot of time doing crochet, knitting and cross-stitch. She used to just put her ball of wool etc in a plastic bag, but it kept being pulled out and rolled around the floor, which wasn't always pristine clean.

I decided she deserved something better. To make it stable, I made a hollow in the base and filled it with scraps of lead, to make it stay in place....

...

I'll leave it at that for now but, if there is any interest, I'll post some more.

Love this one, it is both practical and beautiful I am sure Margaret enjoys using it. It is a pleasure to see such lovely work thank you for sharing with us.

Regards

Vivienne

If my husband made me that exquisite bowl in which to hold a ball of wool, it would be so precious to me forever. I bet Margaret feels the same way. Such a personal and loving thought. Imagine all these years of crocheting and amongst the stunning pieces of woodwork carried out by Jim during the infamous lockdown is a piece made with such love for his wife.

Margaret, you got one of the good guys!  I think you know it too.

This hobby is worthwhile! I stand awed by your talent. Not only are you a wonderful storyteller but a craftsman as well. ( I refer to the delightful story about Yorkshire Tea)

Well done!

Your work is fabulous.  I particularly like your pendants but that's probably because I make a bit of jewellery.
