Once you've received your first bill, I recommend that you register for online access with Iberdrola Distribution.

Having done that, you can view a nice graph of your consumption and see what your peak usage is. You might then be able to reduce the contracted power, and save quite a bit of money on the standing charges:...

Good advice, but if your first bill is to cover Summer time then do make allowance iin your capacity calculations that your consumption may well be higher in more colder Winter months if Electric heating is to be used.

We are out in the campo, no gas at all. Everything electric, enormous heat pump for hot water, separate huge heat exchanger for under floor heating ( not often used, but wonderful) all usual appliances, tv etc, computers, tablets, but aircon which we rarely use, we find fans perfectly adequate. We only have 5.5 kw and never have any problems with things cutting out; admittedly only two of us, but we aren’t careful with usage and pretty much use what we want when we want . Bills not outrageous and we don’t have the hassle of gas bottles or a huge gas tank.
