Hi All
Does the 90 day rule get refreshed each year
Start in January and end in December so for instance if you have been to spain for 70 days during that period does it go back to zero and the beginning of the year ?

No, it's not related to the calendar, it's a rollng equation which starts on the day you first set foot in the Schengen area.

Dave, the answer is no. Open the link above from John 1-6, it very helpful and self explanatory. Maximum of 90 days, within a rolling 180 days. Spanish citizens can enter the Uk for a full 180 days out of 360, but not reciprocal I’m afraid. But I believe that is down to the Uk governments decision, not Spain. Absolutely no idea why, but that was the decision.
183 days was the UK rule long before the EU, during EU membership, and still now after leaving.

Hi, but no one has said that it’s discriminatory or unfair in this post. I do disagree that it’s only those who did not understand that are complaining.
There were, and still are those who fully understood but continued living in Spain. They understood very well, just couldn’t be bothered. I still know some who are basically in hiding, and afraid to try and leave. Those and many others fully understood.
