Never heard it. Then again, they don't tell them about community fees nor even the 10% tax on top of the purchase price so wouldn't expect them to mention something that might happen.
Squatting is becoming more of a problem and, a few years ago, I'd have said it wasn't a problem but the organisation against illegal occupation now say there are some 40 residential properties a day being taken over.
Let's hope this new government in Valencia is serious about trying to solve it and providing help to those unfortunate enough to be affected.

A place in the Sun 🌞 will only tell you the good points about Apartment in the Sun 🌞. Good news sell property bad news sells nothing. I gave up watching that program years ago as it all made to nice for the Camera. They don't mention high Community fees. Neglected property maybe in the area. Rising damp. They will show top of the range

A place in the sun!!! What a waste of space, no idea what so ever. Not only me, but plenty of others agree. Don’t bother watching at all, total waste of time. Do your own research and ask yourself. Good luck.
First and foremost PITS is an entertainment show not a documentary and you'd have to be exceptionally nieve to believe even half of what they portray it is however useful in that it can introduce viewers who might be looking to relocate to areas they might otherwise not know about.

Of course they are not going to tell you about squatters, extra costs, areas that flood, crime rate etc etc. that wouldn’t make good TV

They are in the business of making TV programmes, and have exhibitions a few times a year that you can visit, you can meet estate agents from many countries, find out information about moving abroad.
They are making entertainment tv programmes, and have a website with properties for sale, through estate agents.
There is lot of information available regarding pitfalls and useful information for buying abroad.
I don't think that it their responsibility to tell you that there are squatters in Spain or any other country , that would be the responsibility of prospective buyers, as part of their own research.
There are squatters in most countries nowadays.

I’m not sure if you are serious or not but give yourself a shake and ease off whatever it is you are smoking. Who is ever going to tell prospective buyers that they have less rights in their homes than burglars. Like an estate agent telling you about the robberies and car jacking and distraction crimes and theft’s in the neighbourhood, nah not realistic - half the info or selective truths whatever way you loo
"Place in the sun" is a joke of a program similar to "Bargain Brits in the Sun"
They are just for light entertainment!!

They also often quote potential rental income but I’ve never heard them mention the licence that you may or may not get which I think is actually miskeafing
