Hi George...well thats a coincidence!
I used to play football for Ashford when I lived in Lower Sunbury whilst working at LHR.
We used to go training on a Thursday night then all pile into a Pub called The Royal Oak which had a front like a ship? Maybe you know of it?
Do you remember the Bendy Toys Factory? My son used to live down the road in Charlton Village, close to the Harrow Pub!
Guessing you were an aircraft engineer then? I used to love the VC10 and Trident? Great aircraft but very noisy.
Favourites though had to be Concorde and the wonderful 747 ...oh yes!

trip down memory lane Don..or was it Feltham Hill Road...i had a bungalow down near the BP site...yes know the Oak and most landmarks around Feltham and Sunbury..yes Bendy Toys factory made soft toys with wire inside and we had a giraffe....i worked for a contractor around london and sometimes at the airport...got the tour of Concord(e) on the ground which was very impressive...i must have flown like 600 times and the only incident i had was an emergency shutdown on takeoff in a Trident...the old VC10 was incredibly noisy for a rear engine plane...loved the 747 and travelled up in the big top most times...the 777 used to come back on 1 engine most times in the early days but we were told not to say...my first few flights were in a Britannia prop job...i dont trust helicopters but have flown in everything from a two seater Alouette to a Sikorsky and dont know how they stay in one piece with the vibration...

Could also be the small aircraft that cloud seed with silver iodide.
We used to have planes flying low over our house at night in the UK - when I reported it to the CAA, to their credit, they did send someone around - turned out my wife was leaving our landing light on when she went to bed.

Is there still a lot of activity in the Air around the San Javier area? Im planing to go down to the area during spring to get a feeling if its a good place for buying a winter season house. I dont like airplain noice though.
In case the military plains still fly around San Javier area on daily basis, which area would you recommended me to start looking at? South of SJ or north of Alicante?
