Hi everyone

We have been waiting for our residency meeting/application for 3 months. We’ve got all the necessary documents including 3 months bank statements showing 15k in the bank, Padron, private medical insurance.

We are now really worried that they’ve changed the rules this week. Our solicitors cannot get hold of anyone at the police office to ask.

Has anyone on here been approved or declined in the last 7 days?

Sorry, but what makes you think they've changed the rules? I'm not aware of any new laws being issued, and there hasn't been any change to the national police website.

When is your appointment? I looked at the system this morning, and could have got an appointment at Playa Flamenca pre-Brexit - presumably due to someone having cancelled an appointment. This is a frequent occurrence, and all it needs is to keep checking, and also the willingness to go to an office outside your immediate area.

The solicitor said that it often changes and also because of the demand. I think I’m just panicking for no reason 🙈

Our appointment is Tuesday next week.

Good luck on the day.

The only change I'm aware of over recent months is that some offices are now asking for photographs, even though the legislation doesn't require these.

When we get to July, if UK citizens are still treated as being in the EU, the new budget law is going to increase the amount of finances required.

Hi there,

Where did you get the health insurance from as that's the only requirement I need...

Thanks,

Graham.

My parents have been waiting 4 months at least. Not sure what the hold up is.  They have a lawyer working on it I think. They moved over in August & applied fairly soon after.

Hello Rachitt.

We got our residencia yesterday in Elche. Apart from ordinal paperwork for proof of income, health provision, etc we needed photocopies of everything and a passport size photograph which is for police records and not for the residencia card itself. Good luck with your application!
