Hi everybody , .I am finding it very difficult to find a place to donate supplies for Ukraine

Ive been to at least 7 different places in alicant and surrounds, and have contacted several places by phone ,email etc . Only to get sent to somewhere else , I am getting nowhere !

Constant circles! I can’t understand why it is so difficult to find the correct place . I am offering my services for tranporting refugees in my 9 seat minibus , I am offering accomodation in my house ,and would like to donate some clothing etc . BUT I just can’t get to the correct place to help !

I originally wanted to travel to Poland to drop supplies and bring some people back , but had second thoughts about that as my eyes are not great for driving as far .. but would still do that if I had a co driver ..any volunteers ?

Can someone please tell me where I could drop some supplies off , or advise me who to contact. I have tried lots of different places , only to notice that a lot of these posts are outdated and no longer operational ?

I can’t believe how difficult it is to help the Ukraine people ..THEY NEED HELP NOW , and everyday is getting more desperate for them , while WE complain about the rain here , they are living in dire circumstances , and in freezing conditions ,without basic needs ,food, medicine ,clothes etc..they NEED OUR HELP NOW ,

ANY ADVISE GREATLY APPRECIATED

Thank you

Contact A Helping Hand - Food & Clothes Bank -Costa Blanca.

They are on Facebook.

The police put a message on social media to say that they had closed their collection points. If I find the message I'll add it here.

As it was mainly women and children who were allowed to leave Ukraine they can only be housed in pre-approved households, usually people who have been fostering before and so have been vetted and approved.

That's why I suggest you contact the charity as they are more 'on the ground' and will be able to give you some good advice.

Edit:

The message was from N332, they said:

"Today, we have finished the aid reception in the drop-off points designated. For those who want to keep making donations we invite you to do it through your local NGOs. We would like to thank you for all your support on this campaign!!"
