Transferwise have always been reliable for me.
I do small transfers normally and the money is transferred within literally seconds.

Thankyou for the correction, I did know about that but forgot all about it as I wrote the post, I more meant a UK address would not suffice.
Happy to be corrected for the benefit everyone.

Does anyone have a Starling account? I opened one with a Euro account and just wondered how it fairs to Transferwise?
I have a Sabadell account which I've had for a good few years without issue.

I have a Starling account as well as my Transferwise.
I remember reading in a similar discussion on here a while ago that someone had set up their direct debits in Spain to their Starling account and that they were unreliable.
All to do with the IBAN number I think they said, Starling IBAN is prefixed with GB whereas Transferwise is prefixed BE as their bank account is now based in Belgium, previously it was based in Germany hence DE.

First post so hopefully it’s ok to ask on this thread.
Would people still recommend transferwise for a larger purchase ?- We are in process of buying house and estate agent has Suggested a company called Currency Evolve. I’m quite nervous about this part of the transaction given the large amount, delicate financial environment we are in currently in and I’ve no experience doing this type of transaction. These companies don’t seem to be regulated in the same way as banks. Our Spanish solicitor is in the process of setting up Spanish bank account for us, so I’m currently trying to decide which transfer company to use. Solicitor also suggesting putting me in touch with another company to use so it would be good to hear people have used transferwise for large transactions or recommendations for currency evolve ? Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
