And maybe perhaps, another answer to your question:
Perhaps they could try offering a decent wage for their jobs, even if it did mean further increasing prices. Instead they want to use cheap foreign labour.

Does anyone know why flights are astronomical prices, now and ongoing. Ok July, august… but now is dearer on a lot of the flights now. I have tried Ryan air, easy jet, jet 2 and all are the same. And I’ve tried different airports too.
Jet2 to Alicante was so expensive months ago, and that was before all these problems .We need to go to Murcia and they have stopped flying there so we are using Ryanair, we used Ryanair last August and came back November I think they are trying to make up for lost revenue, Our flight is just the same as the old jet2 cost, always turns out the same, we’re travelling middle of June until August, family are flying to Murcia school holidays, price not that bad. Tui have cancelled holidays on people who were given at a lower cost and know they are selling the holidays dearer so I was told yesterday . EasyJet cancelled lots of fli
It must be your choice of departure airport. I’ve just picked next Tuesday randomly for a week flying from cardiff. That’s a late booking. £35 return. Of course there will be extra charges for bags and seats etc but it will still only be around £100. Bargain..!

Hi
I think it depends where you fly from, we’re Manchester, I’m not complaining of the price we’ve been going for 18 years, just trying to answer this chap question.

Precisely! The cost of fuel has more than doubled since last year! TBH, the cheap flight prices are probably going to become a thing of the past, as airlines never made a profit out of them. How could they? As an example - 100 PAX paying £50 for a flight = £5000. 10 tons of Jet-A1 fuel = £10,000. Then the airlines pay a fees to overfly countries, landing fees staff, etc, etc.
